He was a Presbyterian pastor serving two churches. He was a statesman, a community leader, a teacher, a farmer and slave owner, a "Regulator" and soldier, and a self-taught physician. He was "a man of the moment." His influence over Guilford County in the Revolutionary War era is undeniable. This year marks the 300th birthday of Alamance's founding pastor, Rev. Dr. David Caldwell. We are celebrating him at Big Meeting on September 7th. Pastor Kyle will appear as David Caldwell to give our sermon. Come learn a little bit of his history during our Sunday service.
In the spirit of Caldwell, we are announcing a new educational initiative called the Log College at Alamance. We'll be asking the question together, "How can we be a church of the moment? How can we be what Southeast Guilford County needs in this moment in time." We hope to see you there!
