By 2030, experts predict that the UK will consume 11.1 billion packets of crisps a year which, with current product design, is a lot of single use plastic going into our waste, and potentially our oceans. Some crisp packets have been washing up on shores 60 years after they were first discarded. We want to introduce you to a fun and crafty way to reuse your crisp packets and create something useful! Believe it or not, those empty packets can make wonderful survival blankets, bivvy bags and picnic sit mats to name just a few.
Come along and have a go at creating something new on this reduce, reuse and recycle workshop, which will help you explore the countryside whilst looking after it too.
This is a pay as you feel event, with donations welcome. There is no set ticket price, but we do ask you to book on in advance as spaces are limited.
This event is suitable for both adults and children, but we would advise grown up help for anything fiddley. Just book the number of tickets for how many finished items you will be creating.
We have been saving crisp packets for a very long time, so materials will be provided. You are very welcome to bring your own however!
Usual parking charges apply.
