REUBEN SOLO: SOMEONE IN THIS CROWD WILL BETRAY ME.
I've got a terrible feeling about this show. Like somehow the whole thing is doomed. I've got this recurring dream where I'm on stage, thousands of miles from home and the crowd has turned on me. There are thousands of them and they are all booing me and Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) is there and so is Simon Cowell and he’s slamming his fist into a red buzzer and the sound splits the air like a gunshot and the ceiling rips open and confetti rains down like debris but the booing only gets louder and louder and louder and louder and then I wake up, and realise that all of that actually happened to me.
This show has nothing to do with that story. I doubt I'll even mention it.
Either way, can’t see this going well.

'When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve. And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?”'

REUBEN SOLO
Reuben Solo is an Australian stand-up and sketch comedian. He rose to prominence on social media, known for his surreal humor. His live show was awarded the “Best Comedy Weekly Award” at the 2024 Perth and Adelaide Fringe. The Scotsman hailed him as “Craftily intricate…gleefully daft ****”, The Barefoot Review called him “A unique style all of his own ****½” and The List claimed he was “almost indescribable ****.”
Edinburgh 2024 Review in The Chortle ****
“an expert in providing just one more wrinkle than you expect to any given scenario, and then another one, and then another one, pushing his inventive meta-premises as far as they’ll go for a laugh.”
“routines which stand up brilliantly”
“It’s an endless, delightful bag of tricks connected only by Solo’s ambiguous presence on stage. In a man bun and Hawaiian shirt, he nevertheless comes across as cool, wry and faintly suave, displaying the calm confidence of a man who knows he has a hundred other brain-twisters up his sleeve.”
