About this Event
Join Dr. Shawna Murray-Browne, LCSW-C, for a community gathering inspired by her dissertation research on the oral histories of Black women elders in the Civil Rights era. Return to Presence is a new video podcast that pairs these oral histories with healing practices for modern women in leadership.
Together, we will watch an episode of the video podcast and engage in dialogue about leadership, healing, and the relevance of these stories today. What can we learn from their history? How does their wisdom invite us to lead and heal differently today?
Dr. Murray-Browne will also invite community input toward establishing a new oral history archive centering Black women elders and their work to heal themselves and their communities.
