Cape House Accommodation
One of a kind stays in the heart of the Jungle. Off-grid living property. Private trail to creek and waterfall. 5-minute drive to Cape Kimberly beach. Fruit trees, active veggie garden. A raised deck overlooking the Daintree River, surrounding mountain range and the great barrier reef. Fireplace and thriving garden to enjoy day and night.
The timber pole home was made in the 1990s from reclaimed timber from an old brewery in Cairns. Pacific inspired, tropical architecture allows for a deeply connected experience with the surrounding pristine rainforest. Comforts of 70's style furniture, large open rooms, local slate bathrooms, and a fireplace in the living room for cozy winters evening or open up the large tilt windows for air flow in summer.
Guests should be prepared to occasionally encounter native wildlife such as cassowaries, bats, wallabies, bandicoots, tree kangaroos and other small mammals and reptiles!
