About this Event
And We're BACK!
Join us and learn how to create your own one-of-a-kind hoodie!
This four-week sewing workshop series invites participants into a hands-on, community-centered process of transforming an upcycled blanket into a one-of-a-kind hoodie. Designed for beginners and curious creatives alike, the series blends technical skill-building with creative exploration and sustainable fashion practices.
Participants will learn the foundations of garment construction, how to adapt patterns for unconventional materials, and techniques for working with thick or layered fabrics. Along the way, we’ll explore upcycling as both a practical skill and a powerful way to rethink our relationship to clothing, waste, and self-expression. By the end of the series, each participant will leave with a finished hoodie, new sewing skills, and greater confidence in their ability to create clothing that reflects their individuality.
