Join us for our International Day of People with Disability event, Rethinking Disability – Shifting Perspectives and Embracing Diversity. We’re thrilled to welcome Elle Steele as our keynote speaker. Elle is a disability champion, National Project Manager for Building Inclusive Sports Clubs, a Change our Game Ambassador, and a Paralympic athlete mentor. She’ll share insights on how the community often views disability as something to ‘fix’ rather than embracing diversity.
This free event is also a chance to learn about our Disability Advisory Committee and the important work they do in partnership with Council. Hear from Council staff with lived experience, plus local musician Saint Ergo will be performing. Event details:
