FREE to all - various musical events planned:a) 10.30 – 11.30am - A Joint church service at Grove Street Methodist Church DN22 6LA with a celebration of music in worship, particularly focusing on the wonder of God's world/creation.
b) Late morning to early afternoon – ad hoc busking around Retford by various musicians. There are no bye-laws in Retford regarding busking so buskers can play where they like - and ask for donations….
c) 12.30pm COME AND SING event at Grove Street Methodist Church DN22 6LA, led by Mike Vessey, with Stephen Carey as accompanist, and open to all, including audience (FREE to attend). Singers can just turn up on the day at 12.30, for 1pm start:
- A sing through of “I’d like to teach the world to sing”
- A few rounds for everyone to join in, including the audience!
- A sing through of the HALLELUJAH CHORUS from Handel’s Messiah. Many people will know it and can have a run through beforehand with recordings available on Youtube.

d) 2.30pm approx - also in Grove Street Methodist Church, we welcome back the very popular WORKSOP U3A SWING BAND who will play for about 1 hour.
e) Midday - 7pm - Musicians welcome at Beer Under The Clock (off Market Square, opposite the Butter Market). Timed slots can be booked by contacting [email protected].
Musicians also welcome to play in the Square outside The Vault during the day.
