With the HSC over and 3 long months before Uni kicks off, you're probably wondering - what now? Many students look to finding their first part-time employment, gaining valuable experience and kicking off fruitful professional careers.
As a business that welcomes many students straight out of high school into our team, we've seen plenty of ways that students translate their high school success into a solid career start. In this post-HSC session, we will teach you how to demonstrate key employable skills and merits from your high school experience.
We'll be covering all you need to know to build your first work-ready resume, including:
- Why are resumes important for both you and potential employers
- Basic resume components and structuring
- What to include, and what not to include, in your first resume
- How to make yourself stand out amongst other candidates
- How to answer commonly asked interview questions
Whether you're looking for your first introduction to the workforce or you'd like additional tips from an experienced employer of high school graduates, this seminar is perfect for all graduating students.
A fter our session, we'll be hosting an 2024 Alumni Luncheon, where you can mingle, catch up and pick the brains of our experienced team of tutors. They've walked in your shoes too, so who better to ask about what's next! Light refreshments will be provided.
