Via our own Dr Philippa Whitford:‘ A group of clinicians who have worked in Gaza and the West Bank over the last 10 years formed a network in 2020 to share ideas and experiences. In light of the destruction of healthcare in Gaza which has utterly destroyed the progress made (including 7 years of the Breast Cancer Project I established) we have now formally founded the Scottish Palestinian Health Partnership. We are involved in the organisation of a conference with Edinburgh University’s Global Health Academy’s on 27/4/24 in how we can all help in the rebuilding of healthcare and medical education in Gaza, whether on the ground or working within Scotland (eg MDT support via online links).
Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah will be delivering the Runa Mackay Memorial Lecture as part of this.
