Our experienced team at AnewU Physical Therapy will guide you through exercises and techniques to help strengthen and heal your body postpartum. Join us for this Pelvic Floor class led by Dr. Leshelle Lencioni and Dr. Priya Subramanian, Pelvic Therapy Specialists & Doctors of Physical Therapy.

You'll learn how to address common postpartum problems with your pelvic floor: from leaking, heaviness/prolapse, healing diastasis, core recovery and returning to intimacy.Come learn how to activate your core and pelvic floor correctly and promote postpartum core restoration and strength after birth. Correctly using these muscles can improve symptoms such as heaviness, incontinence, diastasis recti, pain with intercourse and more.Registration prefered.
*$15 donation suggested, but not required. Pay what you can.

You will also learn:
• Basic anatomy of the pelvic floor
• Breathing techniques to promote healthy pelvic floor function
• What are the underlying causes of incontinence and prolapse, and how you can start to address them!
•How to activate your ‘deep core’ and understand its role in healing the abdominal and pelvic regions.
• How back pain and/or tightness may be impacting your recovery!
•What to do postpartum to encourage the best healing of your core and pelvic floor and prevent future injury.
• Body mechanics during pregnancy and postpartum that will help keep you strong and without pain or other symptoms.
• Return to Intimacy - pointers and information to help you prepare for and enjoy returning to intimacy postpartum.
Open to all women who are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or are postpartum. Once you are postpartum, you are always postpartum. Whether you give birth vaginally or via cesarean, you'll learn something new to support your body in this stage of life.
