Join Alex Plante, 500 RYT & YACEP, for a 15 hour introduction to restorative yoga and breathwork training to deepen your understanding and practical skills in these healing arts. This course is designed to introduce restorative postures and accompanying breathing techniques to yoga teachers as well as anyone interested in integrating restorative practices into their personal practice. We’ll delve into the nuances of restorative postures, their differences from dynamic vinyasa flows, the anatomy involved, and their effects on the nervous system.In this training, you will:
Learn how to include restorative practices into your own teaching or your own home practice
Discuss the science of restorative practices and their effect on our bodies, minds and nervous systems
Explore a variety of breathwork techniques, and practice including them within restorative poses for enhanced relaxation
Learn how to effectively sequence and techniques to accommodate for individual needs
Experience immersive practices and reflect on your experiences, helping you to forge a personal connection to these techniques
Develop an awareness of how to cultivate a restorative, grounding atmosphere
There are no prerequisites for this training. You do not have to be a yoga teacher to join. All props will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer. You do not need to have any prior experience with restorative yoga in order to participate in and learn from this course!
For those who are 200hr certified Yoga Teachers; this training is eligible for 15 hours of Continuing Education through Yoga Alliance®
