Infrared Restorative Yoga Is Self-Love Date Night with Gina Hart-Smith This Valentine's Weekend, give yourself (and/or a loved one) the gift of Restorative Yoga.
In contrast to the holiday typically focused on Eros and the outer world, this workshop is an opportunity to focus on Self-Love and the inner realms. Float in the Ocean of Love that surrounds us all.
Enjoy the benefits of unwinding tension and giving into support in room that is comfortably heated with InfraRed Heat ( this is not a hot yoga class) You will get to experience the benefits of red light therapy and theraputic infrared heat in a warm room that isn't oppressive. Infrared heat is like soaking up the warm goodness of sunshine without the exposure of the hard UV Rays. In the winter months it canbhelp your body with vitamin D synthesis and production of those happy brain chemicals we all need during the dark cold months. Restorative yoga is gentle and accessible. It's fantastic for releasing chronically held tension from the body and the mind. This approach uses the support of bolsters, blankets, blocks, the floor and ultimately the Earth. Practitioners are guided through accessible, floor-based poses, each held for ample time to allow your muscles to relax and your nervous system to find calm. This practice is especially beneficial for those with chronic pain, anxiety and excessive thinking. Infrared light and heat therapy is especially good to decrease inflammation, improve lymph flow and flexibility, reduce chronic pain.
Props are highly encouraged: BYO light eye covering and feel free to bring any blankets, bolsters, or props that are personal and comfortable to you. Restorative props for the practice will be provided for each practitioner but bringing anything that will help you settle more will be very beneficial.
