Join me in a supportive space to learn the benefits a [rest]orative yoga practice can have throughout the journey of peri-menopause and beyond. Empower yourself by learning simple self-care tools and techniques. Connect with other women navigating the challenges this season of life can bring.Whether you are peri-menopausal, menopausal or post-menopausal, this workshop is designed to explore:
- Poses of rest that counteract menopausal depletion and fatigue
- Gentle movement that supports your body's changing needs
- Self care techniques for mental exhaustion
- A positive bonding experience with women on a similar journey
As a facilitator of rest this workshop will have a particular focus on building a toolkit of techniques that help to manage the fatigue, hormonal symptoms and stress that menopause can bring. Allowing you to take the skills you’ve learnt on the mat into your everyday life. Restorative Yoga has been a sanctuary for me over the last decade of my life, navigating infertility, post-partum anxiety and now peri-menopausal symptoms. I hope to share both my learnings and experience with you.

Your host:
With a varied background in facilitation and dance, Katherine has always been drawn to a more gentle, slow version of yoga. Katherine is passionate about providing accessible yoga so all individuals regardless of background or ability can find mental stillness and deep relaxation.
Completing the Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching (350hrs) with the Australian Yoga Academy, Katherine has practiced Restorative Yoga herself for over a decade. She has studied Restorative Yoga with the Biomedical Institute of Yoga under the tutelage of Marian Cavanagh who trained directly with Judith Hanson Lasater. Katherine has most recently completed her 'Somatic Woman' training (a course focussing on yoga for menopause) with Judith her daughter Lizzie Lasater and Certified Yoga Therapist, Mary Richards.
She would be delighted to help you find gentle movement again and experience the benefits each restorative posture can offer for both the body & the mind.
