“The antidote to stress is relaxation” - Judith Hanson Lasater Restorative Yoga focuses on supporting the body in a deeply restful way. There are no standing poses in this type of yoga. All postures are seated or lying down. You are able to use a variety of bolsters, blankets, blocks, eye pillows, straps, sand bags etc to encourage the most stillness, comfort and support.
Some reported benefits of Restorative Yoga;
⁃ Stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system
⁃ Reduce subcutaneous (abdominal) fat
⁃ Reduces cortisol levels
The aim is ultimate comfort so we are able to “rest, digest and repair.”
Thursday nights from September 26- October 31 from 7:15 - 8:30 pm at Nanaimo Yoga Sanctuary or on Zoom.
$70 + a one time private intake

$15 drop in per session
Classes are recorded on Zoom & available for one week after the class just in case you are unable to attend the live sessions
