About this Event

Spend a Friday evening with me, where I'll encourage you to discover comfort in a nest of supportive props on your yoga mat. This class centers around interventions to promote a sense of calm and relaxation. The symptoms we experience in our everyday lives are actually the unique stories of our lives. My trauma-informed classes are built to gently nourish the nervous system with community co-regulation that raises resiliency in the secure container of our yoga space. We will stretch and build flexibility with our bodies and our nervous systems. By listening to our body and breath cues, we learn to practice mindfulness with thoughts, feelings, and physical reactions as we hold our yin and restorative postures. Yoga practice can build resources and our capacity to exist in the world more freely. The class may include brief education on how to regulate the function of your vagus nerve with breath work, self-massage, and gentle movement.
