Chester’s own Deh-Yey is a two-piece post-punk powerhouse who reshaped the city’s loud music scene. Known for their ferocious live shows and sharp social commentary, they channel chaos, humour, and frustration into short, explosive sets that hit harder than most full bands.
Their sound sits somewhere between the sardonic edge of Do Nothing, the social commentary of Fontaines D.C, and the relentless drive of JOHN (Times Two) — tense, clever, and unapologetically loud.

Louder than War
Frontman James Kitchens Antics inside this Walled City will outlive the Walls themselves. Anti Honey’s live shows are a mess of contradiction. Synths and drum machines loud enough to split the eardrums, paired with melodies armed with the intricacies to sew them up again. A still, silent programmer of beats attempts to tame a huge, neurotic ball of energy. A dance band with the energy of punk music. Earnest poetry hidden beneath swathes of reverb and distortion. A need to be loved, but a fear of what that means.
With nothing but a smattering of homemade demos to their name, Anti Honey thrive on the audiences unfamiliarity in their work to get the best out of each other. Can that fractious relationship last forever?
