The essence of Restival is encapsulated in its name: REST is paramount. Through years of involvement in various events, festivals, and concerts, we have gained valuable insights that inspire our vision to create something different.We recognize the importance of taking a step back after the hectic summer season, especially given that many members of our Soul Tribe have invested significant energy during this time. Often, the essential rest needed for integration is overlooked.
Restival 2025 will be held at Ngatuhoa Lodge nestled on a DOC block in the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park off Omanawa Road, Tauranga.
The Aims of the Lodge are to provide a unique opportunity for people to appreciate the beauty of the New Zealand bush and wildlife and the pioneering history of New Zealand.The Restival gathering offers a chance for us to reconnect with our ancestral lands and reflect on our roles as guardians. It provides an opportunity to immerse ourselves and our children in an environment that fosters a harmonious relationship with the Earth.
Ngatuhoa Lodge has a range of activities available for Restival attendees: kayaks, zipline, obstacle course, nature trail (self-led), waterfall walk, guided Te Rere I Oturu Falls walk, jumping hole, swimming hole, loop track hikes, orienteering, tubing, short burma trail, long burma trail and more.
This gathering is not for profit; rather, it emphasizes transparency and integrity. Contributors will be fairly compensated for their energy exchange, ensuring that the focus remains on genuine connection and rejuvenation.
Ngatuhoa Lodge is behind locked gates. Gate times and Festival information will be sent to ticket purchasers.
