About this Event
To properly tend to others, we need to be able to tend to ourselves.
Join me for restorative yoga and a deep relaxation practice to tend to your nervous system with care. I will guide you through basic breathing methods and floor based restorative postures to promote blood circulation and flexibility. In these postures, we'll slow and deepen our breathing, gently paying attention to the body to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.
You'll then be guided through a deep relaxation technique called yoga nidra. This practice is done in a comfortable rest position. I will systematically guide you to release physical and mental tension. The beauty of yoga nidra is that you get to rest deeply, and learn about true surrender by expanding your capacity to be held and supported.
I apply the frameworks of trauma-informed care to the way I hold space, supporting you to feel empowered in your choices and grounded in your worth.
Please bring your own yoga mat. If you have bolsters and blocks, please bring those too. This class is suitable for beginners.
