Panelists
Jaimey Bembry, an executive of Bhlen, brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, with a particular focus on helping restaurants and bars thrive. As an expert in driving product innovation, Jaimey has led the development of Bhlen to offer practical solutions that connect venues with local communities and increase visibility.
His expertise includes analyzing customer behavior during peak times, slow periods, and special promotions, providing valuable insights into how venues can maximize success and enhance customer experiences.
Derek Battle, co-founder of Flave, a local company that leverages gamification to drive people to restaurants. Originally from Baltimore and now a D.C. native, Derek met his co-founder, Jal Irani, while pursuing an MBA in Entrepreneurship at Johns Hopkins University.
Jal had extensive experience working with apps for mom-and-pop shops, and the two recognized an opportunity to further support restaurants by building on the motivation of customers capturing photos of food. In the past two years, Flave has gained over 10,000 users in the Greater D.C./Baltimore metro area, and they are proud partners with RAMW.
