About this Event

A new course run by BMet College - ReStart: Next Steps Programme: Supporting unpaid Carers into New Opportunities will start on 17 November.

ASSESSMENT DATE*: Wednesday 12th November, 10.00am – 1.00pm at Matthew Boulton College.

There will be an eligibility assessment on Wednesday 12 November between 10 am and 1pm to determine participants’ basic maths and English levels. If anyone does not yet meet the required level, BMeT will offer support through other college courses to help you progress and be ready to join the next programme, which is currently planned for late January 2026.

As the course is designed to help Carers move closer to employment, BMeT has aligned entry expectations with the skill levels employers typically look for.

The course will be delivered face-to-face, Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm at Matthew Boulton College. It can be delivered in 2 weeks (with the 3rd week available for catch-up or 1:1 support), therefore, ending on Friday 5th December 2025. Further details about the course are outlined in the poster below.

The first week of the course will be delivered in-person and will focus on the Customer Service element, leading to a Level 1 Award.
During the second and third weeks, BMeT can deliver two of the three days online, offering flexibility for Carers who may have other commitments.

*If you are unable to make any of the dates, please let us know if you would like to join a waiting list for the next course in January 2026. Please contact [email protected]
