About this Event

Rest to Rise is a nurturing opportunity to connect with the parts that need to move at their own pace.

We will begin with a grounding practice and intention setting, followed by an Ecstatic Dance, and end our evening with a Meditation and Reiki Circle.


An invitation to gather in community, set intentions, drop into the body, then connect with music and your intentions through mindfulness, intuitive movement, meditation and authentic connection.


About Ecstatic Dance:

Ecstatic Dance is a free form dance, with no choreography. Simply intuitive movement. The dance playlist creates a wave of 5 rhythms to facilitate journeying, flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, stillness. The intention is to form community connection and connection with one’s body/mind and soul.


About Reiki:

Reiki is Universal Life Force Energy that flows through all living beings. It is a Traditional Japanese Healing Technique that aims to serve the highest good of all. We will join hands and invite Reiki to aid us in the highest good, attune to the collective and individual energies, where tension and stagnant energy dwells. Invite and allow Reiki to work with your intention, your chakras, and your auric field to guide the flow of Life Force Energy throughout the body and collective.


Guidelines:

-This is a substance free event. Please show up as you are.

-No photographs or video recording is permitted, unless the whole group consents.

-No verbal communication on the dance floor. Feel free to leave the dance floor if you need to speak with someone.

-You may dance with or interact with others during the dance but provide clear nonverbal communication to say yes or no to engage with another. Honor your needs!

-Have fun, respect the collective space and yourself and listen to your body!


*EVERYbody is welcome, regardless of ability. This event is a supportive space to move your body as much or as little as you'd like. Listen to what your body needs throughout the dance and feel free to honor its needs.


What to bring:

- dress for comfort and movement

- water bottle

- yoga mat, blanket (optional), meditation cushion (optional)

- something for the alter (optional)

- journal (optional)

- anything else to feel comfortable

About the Facilitator:

Breah Marie Young, of Reiki Moon & Sol LLC, is a mother, Doula, and Holistic Early Childhood Educator prioritizing nervous system regulation techniques and social emotional development.

Rooted in the wisdom of her lived experience of dancing through the dark with compassion in order to find her light. Her personal journey as well as her professional impacts helped shape her passion for community wellness and accessibility.

She is an intentional creator who embraces community, nature as medicine, self expression through intuitive movement, play, and authentic relating.

She creates a sanctuary where innocence, intuition, and embodiment, rise together.


Strengthen connection between physical, spiritual and energetic body.

Restore balance and inner peace.

Release what no longer serves.

Feel what needs feeling.

Reignite creativity and play.

Rest into stillness.

Amplify collective healing.
