Rest Reading Group: The Rest Session : Can Laziness Aid Creativity?
Date: Tuesday 30th April 2024
Time: 1pm-2:30
FREE, all materials will be provided
During RA WALDEN : OBJECT TRANSFORMATIONS THROUGH THE COORDINATE OF TIME we will be hosting three ‘Rest Sessions’ convened by artist Niki Colclough. Niki has been researching the social and political structures that shape our ability to rest with the aim to nurture more equitable, creative and collaborative approaches to resting.
In the first Rest Session, we will spend slow time collectively reading ‘Laziness Is A Lost Art by Madison Utendahl’, it is not necessary to read the text in advance, copies will provided on the day. The article explores how laziness can be adopted as a tool for creativity, we’d love to know what you think of this idea! Everyone is welcome, if you have any questions, please get in touch.
