A yoga space for QTIPOC
About this Event

Dear LGBT People of Colour,

Would you like to assist in improving the accessibility of LGBT POC in NHS by sharing your lived experience* through sessions centred in joy; community connection; peer support; listening learning; workshops and shared meals. All feedback provided in the sessions will remain anonymised and used to improve NHS practice through a training session.

Come and join Tamsin (she/they) for a QTIPOC “Rest as Resistance” yoga workshop.

Tamsin is a deep believer that rest is a radical act. She believes that as QTIPOC people, one of the greatest forms of activism can be prioritising and devoting yourself to a self-care practice (no matter what that looks like for you). Within this session, Tamsin will guide you through gentle yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation to give you a full and nourishing yoga experience. We will then work through some journal/thought prompts to further support you on this journey. The hope is that you will leave feeling closer to your community and to your true self.

Tamsin adopts a trauma-informed, body-inclusive approach within all her sessions, aiming to make them accessible to all levels, bodies and abilities. You can find more of their classes here: https://linktr.ee/tamsinicoleyoga

All abilities welcome

Yoga mats will be provided as a gift to each participant.

By signing up to this session you agree to adhere to our safer spaces policy which can be found here: https://lgbt.foundation/who-were-here-for/safer-spaces-policy
