About this Event
Rest as Resistance is a grounding gathering created for Black and Brown community members in Northwest Arkansas, honoring Juneteenth and Pride Month.
This event centers rest, resilience, joy, and collective care. Participants will experience meditation, sound bowls, Yoga Nidra, and a mental health talk-back rooted in cultural awareness and healing.
The gathering is co-led by Joi McGowan, LPC, CEO of Amani Counseling & Co., and Shakira Easkins, LCSW, RYT.
This event is for Black and Brown community members only.
Black and Brown individuals who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community are especially welcome.
Optional donations of $5 are welcome at the door, only if you are able.
Registration is required. Seating is limited.

Please bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and an open mind.
