About this Event
At Animal Welfare League it’s our mission to connect pets, people and community through a lifetime of love and memories. We’re passionate about teaching local communities all about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership so they can help us build a South Australia where every pet has a loving home.
One Planet Market will host this free talk where you’ll learn about Animal Welfare League and the furry friends they help each day, as well as some tips on what it means to be a responsible pet owner. Come along and ask your questions about this important community service.

One Planet Market is held from 9am – 12 noon (10am-1pm in winter) on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Payneham Community Centre.
We welcome people to come and sell, buy or exchange garden produce, home-made food and second hand goods. The market features:
• Local produce
• Payneham Repair Cafe
• Urban Orchard – swap and share
• Morning tea
• LETS (Local Exchange Trading System) members stalls
• Freecycle
• Information table – join Sustainable Communities SA, renew your membership, information and resources on sustainability events and activities
• Workshops on practical topics at 10.30am
The aims of the market are:
• To encourage local production and local economy
• To foster community relationships, resilience and self-reliance.
