Responding To The Moment: A Go Bag Class in The Time of Climate Crisis
Suggested donation: $35
No one turned away for lack of funds.
Climate crisis has been here with us for many years, but the recent L.A. fires have made that reality come to life for many people in a new way. How do we respond to this moment, not only as it pertains to the present, but to the future? In what ways can we take practical steps to be prepared and grounded for the unknown, dystopian realities that we see unfolding around us?
In this class/community conversation, we’ll be exploring the basics of how to prepare for an emergency through the creation of a Go Bag, or emergency preparedness kit. A Go Bag is a bag of essentials that you can grab and go quickly with in case of an emergency. We’ll explore what basic items should be inside, such as food, water, shelter, etc, how to tailor a go bag to your specific needs, as well as basic evacuation tools to support ease of mind in a time of crisis.
