About this Event
CASA House has been delivering the RDSA workshop for professionals for over 20 years. It is both well attended and well-reviewed. Participants include social workers, police, nurses, allied health, lawyers and psychologists. 95% of our 2023 participants rated the workshop facilitation 5/5.
In this workshop, participants gain knowledge and skills to effectively respond to disclosures from victim survivors of all genders, including recent and historical assaults. Our workshops are co-facilitated by our training team and a counsellor advocate.
The content is highly interactive and supports participants to:
- Learn about drivers of sexual violence
- Develop a critical understanding of consent
- Understand the impacts of sexual violence and trauma
- Explore trauma informed frameworks
- Identify pathways for support
Venue and Catering
Queen Victoria Women's Centre (QVWC) is located at 210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.
Paid parking is available nearby however, the QV centre is also serviced by many forms of public transport - trains to Melbourne Central, Swanston Street trams and Lonsdale Street buses.
CASA House provides morning and afternoon tea. Training participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or enjoy the selection of food available in the QV food court adjacent to QVWC.

Building access and parking:
- QVWC is wheelchair accessible: There is a ramp on the left side of the front entrance at Lonsdale Street, which leads through to the accessible rear entrance.
- There are multiple accessible bathrooms in the QVWC building (ground level & level 2).
- Short term parking (20 mins) is available at the Lonsdale St entrance.
