Underground Resistors is a new event concept for Chelmsford where a number of specially selected musicians are combined for a improvised live performance.With no pre planning the performance will evolve as each musician takes inspiration from their collaborators and will lead to a completely original composition.

February’s ensemble comprises of Graham Tobias, a long standing member of the Resonance community having released on both our compilation albums, provided a show for our radio residency and been a regular at Open System since day one. Our ambient maestro, who shocks us from time to time with expertly crafted drum lead tracks, is making his first live appearance for Resonance which is long overdue.
Keith Phillips is making his first appearance for Resonance and we have absolutely no idea what to expect, but it’s going to be exciting to find out.
Nick Smith is somewhat a veteran of the live improve scene and making his third outing at Underground Resistors. His love for experimental electronics and small desktop machines (heavily waited in the direction of Bastl Instruments) makes for often chaotic, but exceptional outcomes.
