Kick off your 2026 running year with one of Dirtopia’s most loved events! The Resolution Trail Run has been welcoming runners to the trails for 13 years, and once again promises an unforgettable morning of singletrack, scenery and good vibes.Run into the new year on Dirtopia’s renowned trail network, winding through forest and fynbos with spectacular views across the Winelands and all the way to Table Mountain in the distance. With three distances on offer, there’s a route for beginners, families and seasoned trail runners alike.
As we enter the Year of the Fire Horse, this is your chance to embrace fresh beginnings, strong intentions and an energising start to 2026.

🏃♂️ DISTANCES & ROUTES
6km Loop (Green Route)
A relaxed, scenic loop ideal for beginners, walkers and juniors. Wide singletrack along the ABC Trail, returning via Exit Trail, with beautiful views of Simonsberg and the surrounding Winelands.
11.5km Route
A step up in challenge, featuring more flowing singletrack and extra forest loops to Clapham Junction. Includes a refreshment station at the Gillooly’s lookout point, before returning via Ho Chi Minh Trail.
17.5km Route
A tough and rewarding route for fit trail runners only (no walkers). Expect a solid workout on varied singletrack, climbing towards the legendary NeverSayNeverEndingAgain trail. A true test to say “hello 2026”!

💰 ENTRY FEES
Online pre-entries close: Friday, 23 January 2026
Pre-entry prices:
• 6km – R165
• 11.5km – R210
• 17.5km – R275
Late entries:
Accepted on race day at registration, at an additional fee (from R50 per entry, depending on distance).
Under 18s:
• All pre-entrants under 18 pay R75 for the 6km only
• Late entries under 18 pay the normal late-entry fee

Timing by Amarider Trail Tag (optional).
• Rent a blue tag for R25
• Buy a permanent tag for R100 (valid at all Dirtopia events)
• Live results available for pre-entries
• Late entries and changes processed by the Tuesday after the event

• Refreshment station with energy drink, water and fruit
• Coke at the finish for all runners
• Coffee available from early morning
• Farm Kitchen open for meals

Medals:
• First 250 pre-entrants receive a special Resolution Trail Run – New Year 2026 medal
• Entrants after the cut-off will receive a 2026 Dirtopia Trail Run medal
