The Franklin County Children's Task Force is hosting the 2nd Annual Resilience Institute in Farmington, Maine on June 25th and 26th, 2025. This Conference will feature presentations which utilize a Strengths-Based Perspective for Professionals with topics including cultural humility, strengthening families and communities, rural initiatives to support student parents, fathering and more. * Being a parent is one of the most rewarding and joyful experiences... We all know that with these experiences comes a fair share of stress!
* Research has shown that the way parents respond to the pressures and stressors in their lives is much more important than the stressor itself in determining the outcomes for themselves and their children.
* Parents are more likely to achieve healthy, favorable outcomes if they are resilient.
Resilience is the process of managing stress and functioning well even when faced with challenges, adversity and trauma.
Tickets on sale beginning March 17th. Early bird rate until April 30th is $75 per day. After that, each day of the conference will be $100. Space is limited. Price includes breakfast and lunch.
