This workshop is a unique combination of 5Rhythms® and Somatic Experiencing®, offering an elective experience within the 5Rhythms curriculum.5Rhythms serves as the foundation for this weekend. Dancing the Wave helps us achieve a state of equilibrium and quiets the mind. Throughout the weekend, we will engage in body-oriented practices from Somatic Experiencing, designed to alleviate the effects of trauma. By tuning into our felt sense, we will learn to listen to our bodies and their responses, fostering a deeper connection with our nervous system.
In addition to group sessions, a few participants will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one Somatic Experiencing sessions, with the group serving as witnesses.
This workshop will be conducted in English without translation.
About Ron Hagendoorn (NL)
Ron Hagendoorn (NL) has been dancing for over 32 years, including 25 years of 5Rhythms® practice. His commitment to the 5Rhythms grows as he discovers the full scope of this movement meditation. 5Rhythms has space for comfort and discomfort, which makes it the most comprehensive dance form he came across. Ron was trained by Gabrielle Roth (Waves® in 2007) and Jonathan Horan (Heartbeat® in 2018).
Apart from being an accredited 5Rhythms teacher Ron is also a therapist (Somatic Experiencing®). He is a member of the 5Rhythms Teachers Association, lives in the Netherlands and teaches internationally in the Waves®, Heartbeat® and Elective level of this practice.

Weekend: 180 Euro / 780 PLN (if booked before 7 February 2025) or 210 Euro / 900 PLN thereafter
WORKSHOP LEVEL DETAILS
Elective workshops combine the 5Rhythms practice with other disciplines. These workshops hold true to the 5Rhythms Maps and weave in deep investigations that compliment the teachings.
This workshop will count as an Elective on the 5Rhythms Dancing Path towards Teacher Training.
No previous experience in 5Rhythms is necessary for participation.
