The City of North Las Vegas joins Nevada Plants, a local tree planting and advocacy nonprofit, to give away 100 trees to residents. These desert-adapted trees are 15 gallons each and include fruit trees and shade trees. Trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out.
The Tree Canopy Coverage initiative is being met through city-wide tree plantings and tree giveaways year-round. A giveaway was held in November as 50 trees were handed out to community members, and the City plans to host another distribution in April.
