A Day of Grounding, Healing, and Connection With Andrew Beer.
Join us for a silent half-day meditation retreat in celebration of Earth Day. This retreat will be an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness, rest, and to contemplate the interconnection of nature and the human experience. Through silence, unplugging from technology, and guided meditations (seated and walking) participants will be supported to uncover inner resources and... reset.
Silent meditation retreats have been a central part of Buddhist communities for thousands of years. In the same spirit, Wild Heart Detroit aims to provide an opportunity to step into the awe and wonder of silence through contemplating the four elements: earth, water, fire, and wind/air. The retreat will shift between seated and walking meditation to promote both comfort and continuity of mindfulness. Chairs, mats, and cushions will be provided for seated meditation and there will be a 30–45-minute break halfway through the retreat for snacks, stretching, and any other support participants may need. Whether you’re yearning for a break from technology, a chance to deepen your mindfulness practice, or simply an opportunity to rest and reset, we hope you will join us!
Group Facilitator: Andrew Beer is a limited license counselor (LLC) and holds certifications to teach and facilitate meditation from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, and Wild Heart Meditation Center in Nashville, TN.
