Join us for tea and cookies at our first Research Tea of 2024, a new conversation series for PPS's Gowdey Research Volunteer Team and PPS members. Taylor M. Polites, a Rhode Island-based writer, researcher, and educator will share about the ongoing research journey that began when he purchased a house on Benefit Street. Taylor will talk about the histories he has uncovered so far, the sources and archives he has found most helpful, and the challenges and missing pieces that remain. Taylor likens house history research in Providence to gossiping about people who lived 200 years ago, which resonates with us! This gathering is conversational, so please come with your own research stories or questions to share.
