Who Should Enrol ?Researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students that want to learn more about basic research -and writing skills and how to design a research proposal.
There are 4 study units in this course:
• Introduction to research and research approaches
• Academic writing
• Ethics and integrity in research
• Writing your research proposal
Course Design - This is an online course.
Course Duration - Participants have 8 weeks to complete the assessment process from date of registration.
Assessment:
You will have several assessment opportunities, which include posts to the discussion forum, assignments and quizzes, among others.
You will have various learning activities to engage with and tasks to complete. In the end, these tasks will help you to design your research proposal which will be submitted as the final summative assessment.
Accreditation:
Accredited with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) for 4 Credits.
Accredited according to the HPCSA Medical and Dental Board Guidelines for Healthcare Professionals for 30 Ethical CEU's on Level 2.
Certification:
To qualify for the certificate of completion for this short course, participants should complete all learning activities online and successfully complete the assessment process.
This course is about developing basic research skills to conduct qualitative, quantitative or mixed-methods research and to develop your academic writing skills.
