Join us for the PADI Rescue Diver Course from Wednesday, September 10th through Sunday, September 14th. This course is often described as the most challenging and rewarding non-professional class in recreational diving. You’ll learn to recognize and respond to diver stress, manage emergencies, and become a more confident, capable buddy. Training will take place over four sessions: Wednesday and Friday evenings at 1800 UTC for classroom and scenario-based knowledge development, followed by full in-water days on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 0800 UTC. Students must already hold their Advanced Open Water certification, and must provide proof of current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications completed in person (online-only courses do not qualify). All participants are required to have a rescue breathing mask. Appropriate fitness and sun protection is strongly recommended, as surface work and shore-based entries can be physically demanding. A completed PADI Diver Medical form is required, and any “yes” answers will need a physician’s sign-off before in-water training. To keep class ratios low and ensure effective skill development, space is limited, and students must attend all sessions in order to certify. If you haven’t been diving in a while, we highly recommend a PADI ReActivate session before class begins. Contact us directly or stop by Kadena Marina for pricing, registration, and gear information. We can’t wait to dive into Rescue with you!
