Jess Morgan presents a multi-disciplinary show that infuses their poetry with found sounds gathered from the Duluth, MN region and music/movement improv. Poems include themes of moving from a classically trained background into an improv-oriented or experimental realm, their experiences with deep listening, community and Lake Superior. Examples of questions explored within the show are: What does a lonely space sound like? What does a space full of community sound like? What does it mean to listen deeply to the current moment(s) in our community?The musical elements are created in collaboration with Mara Lovejoy, Kenneth Bressler, and additional performers that will be adding to the improv elements of the show.
Programs for the show will be given to attendees in a zine format.
