Panoramic Voices and Central Texas Philharmonic invite you to Requiescat, an evening honoring the process of grieving loss through art and music, featuring Mozart's Requiem. Join us in at the Austin Public Library downtown for a stunning set of emotional works for choir and orchestra: Hear a sneak peek of KMFA Composer in Residence Sophie Mathieu's new work for choir, commissioned by Tetractys for their upcoming Here Be Monsters festival and featuring text by local poet, Zach Matteson. Participate in art therapy with CommunityArts, who will be on site with an opportunity to contribute to a "grief mural" to be assembled on South Lamar. And of course, enjoy snacks and refreshments, offered by local small-business partners.
