Requardt & Rosenberg: Future Cargo

A haulage truck arrives from an unknown location loaded with a mystery shipment. As the sides roll up, a strange and unstoppable process is set into motion.
Future Cargo peels back one side of a 40 foot haulage truck that has arrived from a distant planet and invites the audience to look and listen in on a world that is both strange and somehow familiar, using binaural headphones to listen to the sounds from within.
Beautiful, funny, quirky, ethereal and otherworldly, Future Cargo is a sci-fi dance show and, like all Requardt & Rosenberg’s highly visible and unique shows, it delivers a deeply intimate experience within a large-scale dance spectacle.
This is Frauke Requardt & David Rosenberg’s fourth large-scale outdoor dance performance, following on from the success of Electric Hotel (2009-2011), Motor Show (2012) and The Roof (2014).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This is a seated event. The performance is raised, offering good slight-lines.
Maximum 6 tickets per booking
Wheelchair Users: To book a place in the accessible viewing area, please contact the Box Office on 01908 280800 or email [email protected]
The performance contains flashing lights (no strobe lighting), and requires the use of headphones. There is some spoken word in the soundtrack and it’s a highly visual performance.
Binaural headphones ('bi' meaning two and 'aural' referring to the ears) create a surround sound that will immerse you in the performance. Listen through headphones and hear an example of how this sounds here.
This is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather.
The Festival aims to be as accessible as possible and welcomes people with disabilities. We always welcome specific access enquiries - you can email us at [email protected] or call the box office on 01908 280800.
