CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Bring a friend and met your instructor, Megan, to learn a lovely art form and flex your creativity. This wonderful art form produces beautiful prints over and over. In this class you will learn not only how to carve lino but how to create repeating designs. Perfect for large print designs or wrapping paper. During this workshop you will design a repeating pattern, carve a 6” by 6” reprintable lino block, learn to handle carving tools safely, and print your design. You can create your own design or choose from a selection of design ideas curated by Megan.
Please wear clothes you’re okay getting messy. All supplies provided.
About the Instructor:
Megan is a linocut artist with a background in history. She loves writing, sketching, sewing, and carving new lino blocks. She is passionate about taking time to do art and creative pursuits and learning new techniques. Her Instagram account Starglowrabbit focuses on the calm side of Lino cutting and creating art meditatively.
