Repeater #4: Sheffield, Berlin/Bristol and Stoke-Upon-Trent have kindly lent us their favourite sons and daughters for an epic evening of bizarre sonic chaos and unflinching dirty degenerate soundscapes. We've dealt our hand, and it's full of aces — Now, let's make it a full house!Dearthworms
Dearthworms are fast becoming one of Sheffield's favourite children and have recently been nominated in the Drowned In Sound and Music Venue Trust long-list as one of the "acts to watch in 2025". Their debut album Sapsucker is a jagged punch of weirdness, blending chaotic riffs with surreal, vivid lyrics. Their music isn't designed to be safe — it’s sleazy, gloriously unhinged and delights in dismantling expectations and throwing the pieces back at you.
"Envisage them as David Lynch’s house band in Twin Peaks’ Roadhouse on a week night" — ★★★★ Narc Magazine

Shoun Shoun
Making their Sheffield debut are Berlin/Bristol's Shoun Shoun, delivering atmospheric noise-pop and art-psych-rock with the urban ennui of Nico and the noise of Sonic Youth. They are one of the UK's hardest working bands and they could undoubtedly be your new favourite. Our advice — catch them while you can!
"Stylish and intelligent... I could easily see them playing at the Tate Modern" — ★★★★ Joyzine
Listen To Shoun Shoun — We Woke The Monster

Electric Tape Recorder
Sheffield's very own Electric Tape Recorder mix the absurd, shambolic and the strange — recanting nightmarish tales in equal measures. Their live performances are gathering momentum with their raw, vulnerable and dark-dead-pan approach.
"Equal parts beautiful and brutal" — ★★★ Rave Reviews

Ernie K. Fegg
If you haven't heard of Ernie K. Fegg before, you certainly will afterwards! Ernie is an enigmatic figure that will bring us a raw, unforgettable and jittery lo-fi experimental performance complimented with Al's drumming idiosyncrasies. They create chaotic soundscapes blending stream-of-consciousness monologues with unconventional instrumentation — It's true outsider art and it's sure not for the faint of heart!
"Creating a world that no one else can even come near to imagining, never mind creating" — ★★★ Colour Out Of Space
Listen To Ernie K. Fegg — 13 Flavours Of Love
