About this Event
We will learn simple techniques to give you the skills and confidence to repair your own clothes and outdoor gear. We will cover patches, glue and learn some simple hand stitches to fix almost anything! Suitable for total beginners and all materials will be provided. Come and learn in a small group with a supportive atmosphere and lots of visual and tactile examples. This is a hands-on session; some time away from screens and an opportunity to get creative and ask repair expert Lauren questions about gear mending, care and maintenance.

Lauren is the founder of Iron Keld Repairs, an outdoor gear specialist based in Kendal. She has been sewing since age 5 and has been repairing outdoor gear for 15 years. She has been working with Inov8 on the Renov8 project since 2023, and loves to share skills to keep gear in action for longer!
