The Environmental Center's Rethink Waste Project hosts Repair Cafés, which are free events that connect people with broken stuff with people who like to fix stuff. Stuff like jewelry, small furniture, small appliances, electronics, outdoor gear, clothing, and more. We are excited to hold this event in partnership with DIYcave in Bend.

For this Repair Café, we will have fixers who focus on: electronics (phones, laptops, etc.), jewelry, sewing, woodword, bikes, and small appliances. Thank you to Bevel Brewing for donating beer to this event!
Note: All fixing is first come, first serve, and one item at a time. Doors open at 5:30pm and attendees can join the line at that time.
Typically the line is longest in the beginning, and the event quiets down the second hour, so we recommend coming a bit later to avoid the line.
All fixing is done by volunteers and is never guaranteed, but a majority of items are fixed, and for those not fixed they can still provide helpful guidance.
We will have a runner who will make trips to the hardware store if parts are needed. While the event and repairs are free, you will be responsible for the cost of any additional parts. This is unusual, but please bring cash for parts just in case!
