A Repair Cafe is a community space where people can bring a worn or broken item to consult with a skilled neighbor who might then guide them through repairing it. There is no fee for this (volunteer) service, and the benefits are many. At a Repair Cafe, you may
- Learn how to fix a worn beloved object
- Give new life to an item so you don’t have to pay to replace it
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by keeping things from heading to the landfill and by eliminating the energy required to make a replacement
- Feel empowered by your own self-reliance!
- Connect with other great people in your community
