SalemRecycles hosts a Repair Café on Saturday, November 16 from 9:00AM - noon at the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge St. Appointments are required and are for Salem residents.SCHEDULE an appointment here, https://forms.gle/YzeL7xtMMwHaCMWRA or email [email protected].
REPAIR volunteers will be available to mend clothing, sew buttons, tinker with or rewire electronics and lamps, diagnose computers/phones/tablets, repair or tune up bicycles, and more. We hope to see you at this fun event where you can learn how to fix things and reduce your waste!
TERRACYCLE collections — We’re collecting 5 brigades of otherwise hard-to-recycle items. Please keep each TerraCycle stream separate.
* Swiffers: All used, dried Swiffer pads.
* Razors: All brands of reusable and disposable razors, blades & cartridges, as well as any flexible or rigid plastic packaging they come in.
* Dental Care: Toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, mouthwash bottles, floss containers. All brands, plus toothbrush packaging.
* Deodorant: All brands of deodorant containers and caps.
* Brita: Brita dispenser, Brita pitchers, Brita bottles, Brita standard filters, Brita Stream filters, Brita bottle filters, Brita filter packaging, Brita Longlast® filters, Brita Stream® pitchers.
