Join Razom, Ukrainian Institute and YSOU for an evening of music and renewal with the talented young musicians of the YSOU String Quartet at the historical Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City.
About the event:
The evening program will include music from Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), George Gershwin (1898-1937), and Vitaliy Hubarenko (1934-2000). The YSOU String Quartet features Oksana Butrynska, Anna Zihmont, Kateryna Telina, and Sofiia Frantseva.
Doors open at 6:30 pm. Music starts at 7:00 pm, followed by a light reception of wine and light appetizers afterward.
About The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine:
The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine/YsOU (Молодіжний симфонічний оркестр України) is a unique musical project that brings together young musicians aged 12 to 22 from all over Ukraine. The Youth symphony Orchestra of Ukraine was founded in 2016 on the initiative of the Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv. Since the outbreak of the Russian war on Ukraine, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine has initiated a large-scale evacuation project for young Ukrainian musicians together with the Slovenian Youth Orchestra, “Music for the Future” in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In spring 2024 YSOU performed the festive concert of the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe at PMC Strasbourg, as well as played a range of charity Easter concerts in Kronberg and Mainz, Germany.
