From October 23 through November 30, please join us for our next Fine Art Gallery show, Renewal with PaperWorks, the Sonoran Collective for Paper and Book Artists. All community members are invited to a free opening reception on Sunday, November 2, from 2-3:30pm, featuring light refreshments and artist talks.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Renewal is the process of beginning something again after having stopped for a period of time; to bring new life and energy to replace something old; or to seek improvement, advancement, or an improved outcome. The renewal process can be found in the arts and sciences, in technology, and in nature.
Artists often experience the concept of renewal as they approach their work, seeking change, improvement, or enhancement. This exhibition challenges artists to first look backwards and then forwards. This circular perspective will provide artists with insights to change, enhance or re-energize their work.
ABOUT PAPERWORKS
PaperWorks, the Sonoran Collective for Paper and Book Artists, was founded on January 21, 2001. With over 100 members at the onset, the organization welcomes all artists and art aficionados. Our mission is to share our knowledge and skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
PaperWorks’ membership has grown over the years to over 200 members. The growth has allowed us to expand our programs to include monthly meetings, workshops, creative meetups and challenges that showcase the talented artists within our membership and from around the country. We share our collective artwork with the Tucson community through juried shows and exhibits.
