Course Description:
This course will cover edentulous patient options from digital dentures to screw-retained, fixed implant supported dentures. Technology presumes there's just one right way to do things and there never is. This program will help you understand and determine the best options for each patient based on multiple factors including vertical dimension, smile line, and patient compliance among others. This program will also cover the indications and intended use of several different options. Features and benefits of digital dentures, treatment planning for the edentulous patient and overdentures, and All on X treatment options will be presented and discussed. Digital workflows for each type of restoration will be included. Hands-on activities will encompassed in the course so that you learn how to complete each step along the way.

Upon completion of this program, participants will:
- Know the difference between implant supported and implant retained options.
- Be able to identify 3 different material options available for screw-retained dentures .
- Understand the treatment planning steps for a screw-retained denture
Speaker- Kurtis Helm, CDT
Kurtis Helm, CDT is the owner and CEO of Helm Dental Laboratory, LLC in Wylie, Texas. He earned his degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University and went on to serve five years in the United States Air Force as a Dental Laboratory Technical Trainer. In 1993, Mr. Helm returned to Texas to establish Helm Dental Laboratory, a full-service lab now employing over 50 skilled technicians. In September 2024, Helm Dental Laboratory acquired Digital Esthetic Solutions, located in Colleyville, TX, enabling the expansion of services across the entire DFW metroplex. Mr. Helm is a Certified Dental Technician specializing in ceramics and removable dentures, with advanced studies at prestigious institutions like the LVI and Pankey Institute. He is a sought-after lecturer, presenting nationwide for various companies and professional organizations on topics ranging from digital workflows to innovative prosthetic techniques.
