This 20-hour course is designed for people who work or live in remote locations or who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts. The course includes all information covered in a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid / CPR-C course plus special material focusing on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. This course also includes first aid strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training.

- Extended care
- Evacuation: transporting the ill or injured person
The course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations.
We supply all first aid gear and other necessary learning materials for the course. On the first day of class you will get a copy of the Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid Field Guide to use during the course. If you would like to purchase your own copy the cost of the field guide is $42.50 Tax applicable.
